Privacy Policy

    Short summary: My Daily Horoscope does not require you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. The only personal information used by the Service is your date of birth, which is needed to determine your zodiac sign and generate your horoscope. The App is supported by third-party advertising and analytics SDKs (Unity LevelPlay / IronSource mediation, Firebase) which may collect limited device data as described below. If you use the optional translation feature, the horoscope text (and no personal data) is sent to a third-party AI service (DeepSeek) to produce the translation. The App does not request or use your device's location (neither precise nor approximate location permissions).

This Privacy Policy describes how My Daily Horoscope ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our Android application ("App") and our website at mydailyhoroscope.biz ("Website"), together the "Service". By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Terms not defined here have the same meaning as in our Terms and Conditions of Use.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little information as necessary to operate the Service. In particular:

Date of birth. To determine your zodiac sign and generate a horoscope, the App and the Website use the day and month of your birth (and, where applicable, the year). This information is used to calculate the horoscope and may be stored on our servers in combination with the generated horoscope text so that the same horoscope can be served efficiently to users with the same zodiac sign on the same day. This data is not linked to your name, email address, device, or any other identifier that would allow it to be attributed to you personally.
Log data. When you use the Service, our servers and third-party services may automatically record certain information, such as your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address (transmitted in connection with ad delivery and analytics), device type, operating system version, app version, the time and date of your use, and other usage statistics. This information is used for analytics, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention.
Crash data. If the App crashes, third-party crash-reporting services may collect diagnostic data to help us fix bugs.
Information collected by third parties. The App uses third-party advertising and analytics services that may collect data as described in Section 3 below.

We do not knowingly ask you to provide your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, or any other directly identifying personal information, and no account is required to use the Service.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

to determine your zodiac sign and to generate, display, and cache horoscopes;
to translate the displayed horoscope text into your device language when you explicitly request a translation (see Section 4);
to operate, maintain, improve, and optimize the Service and to fix bugs and crashes;
to display advertisements through third-party ad networks;
to gather aggregate, anonymized statistics about how the Service is used;
to detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, abuse, and security issues;
to comply with our legal obligations.

3. Third-Party SDKs, Advertising and Analytics

The App integrates third-party software development kits (SDKs) that may collect or transmit data from your device to their respective servers. We do not control these third parties and their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies. The main third-party services used by the App are:

Unity LevelPlay / IronSource – ad mediation platform that serves advertisements within the App by working with multiple ad networks. To serve and personalize ads, measure ad performance, and prevent fraud, LevelPlay and its mediated networks may collect the following data from your device: your device's IP address, a list of apps installed on your device, your approximate location (derived from your IP address – the App does not request or hold any Android location permission, neither precise nor approximate), your device's Advertising ID (Google Ad ID / AD_ID), device identifiers and session information, and app usage data. All data collected by the advertising SDKs is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Unity Privacy.
Unity Ads – ad network mediated through LevelPlay. May collect device identifiers (including IP address), session data, and app usage for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization.
Ogury – ad network mediated through LevelPlay. May collect contextual and behavioral signals, including approximate location and device identifiers, for ad targeting, measurement, and personalization.
InMobi – ad network mediated through LevelPlay. May collect device identifiers (including IP address and advertising ID), approximate location, and app usage data for ad delivery, measurement, personalization, and fraud prevention.
Liftoff Monetize / Vungle – ad network mediated through LevelPlay. May collect device identifiers (including IP address and advertising ID), session data, and app usage for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization.
Smaato – ad network mediated through LevelPlay. May collect device identifiers (including IP address and advertising ID), approximate location, and app usage data for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization.
AppLovin – ad network mediated through LevelPlay. May collect device identifiers (including IP address and advertising ID), installed apps list, and app usage data for ad delivery, measurement, personalization, and fraud prevention.
Firebase Analytics (Google) – collects anonymized or pseudonymous usage data about app features to help us understand how the App is used. Firebase Analytics Privacy.
Firebase Crashlytics (Google) – collects crash logs and device diagnostics to help us fix bugs. Firebase Privacy.
Google Play services – provides the device's advertising ID (AD_ID) for advertising and analytics purposes. The AD_ID permission is declared in the App's manifest. Google Privacy.

The Website may use third-party analytics and advertising cookies or similar technologies. Where required by law (e.g. in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), non-essential cookies and similar technologies are only set after you have given your consent.

4. AI-Powered Translation (DeepSeek)

The App offers an optional translation feature that lets you translate the displayed horoscope into your device language. Translations are performed by DeepSeek, a third-party artificial-intelligence (AI) service operated by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. This feature works as follows:

Only activated on your request. Nothing is sent to DeepSeek unless you explicitly tap the translate button for a specific horoscope.
What is transmitted. When you request a translation, the App sends the horoscope text to be translated and your device's display language to DeepSeek's servers over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). The horoscope text is generated content produced by the Service; it does not contain your name, date of birth, or any other personal information about you.
What is not transmitted. The App does not send your date of birth, zodiac sign selection history, advertising ID, device identifiers, precise or approximate location, or any other personal data to DeepSeek.
Limited use. The data sent to DeepSeek is used solely to produce and return the requested translation. We do not use DeepSeek, or any other AI service, to profile you, make decisions about you, or generate advertising.
Where the data is processed. DeepSeek may process the transmitted text on servers located in the People's Republic of China. DeepSeek's handling of API data is governed by its own privacy policy: DeepSeek Privacy Policy.

If you do not want any data to be sent to DeepSeek, simply do not use the translate button; all other features of the Service work without it.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. The App does not use cookies directly. However, the App and the Website may use third-party code and libraries (such as advertising and analytics SDKs) that use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to collect information and improve their services. The Website may display a consent banner where required by law. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of parts of the Service.

6. Advertising and Personalization Choices

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of interest-based advertising at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (or Delete advertising ID on supported devices). You may also manage your ad preferences in your Google Account. Opting out does not remove advertisements from the App; it only affects whether the ads you see are personalized.

7. Your Consent Choices (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be shown an in-app advertising consent dialog on your first launch of the App. You can also access and change your choices at any time from the App's settings screen. The consent dialog provides toggles for the following:

Analytics – controls whether Firebase Analytics may collect usage data.
Ad Storage – controls whether advertising SDKs may store or access information on your device for advertising purposes.
Ad User Data – controls whether advertising SDKs may use end-user data for advertising purposes.
Personalized Ads – controls whether your data may be used for personalized advertising.

By default, all of the above consent types are disabled. They are only enabled after you explicitly grant permission through the in-app dialog. Your consent choices are persisted in local storage and are forwarded to Firebase Analytics (via FirebaseAnalytics.setConsent(...)) and to Unity LevelPlay (via LevelPlay.setConsent(...)), which in turn propagates them to the mediated ad networks listed in Section 3.

Starting on or shortly after August 3rd, 2026, Google will use IP addresses it receives via its SDKs (including Firebase Analytics and Google Play services) for measurement and personalization solutions in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. As part of this change, Google will register for IAB Europe TCF Feature 3 ("Identify devices based on information transmitted automatically"). 8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information processed in connection with the Service. Data transmitted by the Service and its third-party SDKs is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk.

9. Data Retention

Generated horoscope data (the combination of zodiac sign, day, and horoscope text) may be retained on our servers for as long as it is useful for operating the Service, after which it may be deleted at our discretion. Log and analytics data is retained according to the retention policies of the respective third-party providers. If you would like us to delete any information that we hold about you, please contact us using the details in Section 15.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary steps to delete such information.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right under applicable data protection law (such as the GDPR in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, or the CCPA in California) to:

request access to and a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information;
request the deletion of your personal information;
request that we restrict or stop processing your personal information;
object to certain processing of your personal information;
request the transfer of your personal information to another party (data portability);
withdraw any consent you have given (withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).

Because we do not require you to create an account or provide direct identifiers, we typically do not hold personal information that identifies you individually. Nevertheless, to exercise any of the rights above, or to ask questions, please contact us using the details in Section 15. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

12. International Data Transfers

The Service and its third-party providers may process data in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, Switzerland, and – for the optional AI translation feature described in Section 4 – the People's Republic of China. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in such countries, which may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

13. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Service may contain links to external websites or services that are not operated by us. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or policies of any third-party site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time at our sole discretion. When we do, we will revise the "Effective from" date above and post the updated version on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
